March 2019… The Bielski Cup was held on 1 March at CCF. 16 four-board teams competed in two sections of blitz chess – 650-and-under (10 teams, single round-robin) and 400-and-under (6 teams, double round-robin). The upper section was closely contested with Lewisham A running out winners with 23.5/36 game points from What Do You Mean it’s Stalemate? (23 points) and Shaolin Masters (22.5 points). South Norwood Allcomers triumphed in the lower section with 25.5/40 game points from the Warriors (22.5 points). The results will be submitted to FIDE for rating and should be reflected in the April 2019 version of the rating list.
