Bielski Cup

Posted on March 1, 2019September 13, 2023 by Croydon & District Chess League

March 2019… The Bielski Cup was held on 1 March at CCF. 16 four-board teams competed in two sections of blitz chess – 650-and-under (10 teams, single round-robin) and 400-and-under (6 teams, double round-robin). The upper section was closely contested with Lewisham A running out winners with 23.5/36 game points from What Do You Mean it’s Stalemate? (23 points) and Shaolin Masters (22.5 points). South Norwood Allcomers triumphed in the lower section with 25.5/40 game points from the Warriors (22.5 points). The results will be submitted to FIDE for rating and should be reflected in the April 2019 version of the rating list. Thanks as always to Scott, Paul, Daniel and CCF for their very efficient organising and for hosting.
